We want to express our gratitude to the La Paz County Sheriff's Office for their ongoing support of our students.
The La Paz County Sheriff’s Office has provided age-appropriate educational materials that promote character development, healthy decision-making, personal safety, and emotional well-being.
For younger students, "Cami & Cosmo: Take a Look at Big Emotions" helps children recognize and manage strong emotions in a positive way. "Let’s Play It Safe" teaches basic personal and community safety using kid-friendly examples.
For older students, "Your Life, Your Choices" focuses on responsible decision-making and addresses topics such as self-esteem, peer pressure, bullying, online safety, vaping, tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and the misuse of prescription and over-the-counter drugs. The accompanying teaching guide includes activities and discussion opportunities.
"Stronger Than You Think" is designed to help older students better understand mental and emotional wellness. This resource covers anxiety and depression, social media, supporting friends, healthy coping strategies, substance use, and knowing when to seek help.
These materials aim to foster open conversations among students, families, educators, and trusted community partners, while helping students build confidence, responsibility, healthy coping skills, and good decision-making habits.

The Volleyball Team has worked hard and won half of their games. They are now headed to the Le Pera Volleyball Tournament this Saturday to finish off the season.
5th-8th-grade students attended the food handler class to obtain their food handler cards for the SY; the La Paz County Health Department provided the training.
Student Council had their first fundraiser, "Pay to Play." Students paid $1.00 to wear PJs today.
The 5th grade class finished their Science Project for the 1st quarter and set it out to be displayed and judged for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Many students are earning extra math certificates as they continue building their math skills. We can't wait to see more students get certificates.
We also had another awesome assembly by "The Ned's Show," which incorporated yo-yos and the message to never give up, encourage others, and do your best.
We can't wait to see what else is in store for October!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Open House last Thursday! It was a wonderful opportunity for parents to explore classrooms and connect with their children's teachers, fostering stronger relationships within our school community.
A special shoutout to our incredible La Paz Sheriff's SROs, the La Paz County Probation Department, ADOT, and our fantastic Panther PTO for joining us. Your presence added so much value to the event, and we truly appreciate the treats and valuable information you provided for our parents and students.

A really COOL assembly is coming to our school on Thursday, September 3rd at 9:00 am. NED's Mindset Mission is a character education program that centers around three important messages that have lifelong relevance: Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. During the assembly, students will learn about the importance of these three life skills while also enjoying storytelling, magic, humor, and yo-yo tricks.

Due to heavy rain and flash flooding in Quartzsite overnight, road conditions may affect our usual bus route this morning.
The road near our regular ADOT bus stop is currently closed. If it is safe for you to do so, please take students who normally use the ADOT stop to the Community/Recreation Center for bus pickup this morning.
Please do not drive through flooded roadways or around road closures to reach a bus stop. If you cannot safely get to the Community Center, please prioritize your safety; we understand!
Expect possible delays this morning as our driver navigates the current road conditions safely.
